This takes you back to the main page and has announcements that can be helpful.
Weekly Content
This is where you’ll find information about each week as well as the material itself including video(s), supporting resources and quiz. Some weeks have a breakdown of the video’s sections and their relevant times (like chapters in a book and their corresponding pages) so that, after watching it initially, you can easily go back to the parts that you wish to review. Some weeks also have additional links to help with that week’s theme that weren’t included in the Supplemental Resources PDF.
Course Resources
In addition to finding resources within their week’s section, you can also find the handouts and other PDFs for each week in one spot under “PDF Downloads”. You can find the course videos in the “Gallery” section and Quizzes under, you guessed it, “Quizzes”! The “Discussions” area is for you to ask each other questions and share ideas. And if you need to send a message to someone in the course directly, you can use the “Messages” option.
A: Please check this troubleshooting guide if you have any difficulties!
My CWF account information does not work
If you have a CWF account, are a donor or if your garden is certified, you will still need to create an account on the TIG site as they are a separate entity to CWF.
The registration code is not working
If you get a message saying: “The code you entered is invalid. It either does not exist or does not match. Please re-enter your code” then you are likely adding an extra space by accident as the system is not sensitive to capitals but it is sensitive to spacing. Ensure you don’t have any extra spaces at the beginning or the end of the code you entered. This can happen sometimes when copying and pasting, for instance.
It is asking for a student registration code – what is that?
This is the “gardening” code (to be entered without the quotation marks) when you are first registering for the class.
It keeps asking me for a registration code, even after registering with TIG and for this class.
You should only have to add the registration code when you sign up / access the class for the first time. If you sign out and then try to register (instead of logging in) you will be asked for the code but it is best if you use the log in page instead. The link for logging in to the general platform page (once you are registered) is: https://cwf.tiged.org/gardening.
I get as far as "create an account" and fill everything out but when I try to sign in it jumps back to where I entered my e-mail address and tells me I am already a member.
This is likely indicating that you already have a TIG account, in which case you do not need to sign up for an account, just log in and use the code to register for this particular course in TIG.
I forgot my password
You can make a new password with the "reset password" option on the registration page, at the bottom on the right on the right hand side. You can also use this direct link to reset your password >
I forgot my username
You can retrieve your username by clicking this link and entering your email address
It does not let me create a username
As there are many people using this site, it is likely that someone already has the username you tried. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get one that will be unique. To help make yours unique, you can add numbers or symbols at the beginning or end. Note that capitalizing letters does not make a difference.
I can’t find the link to get to the course
The link for logging in to the general platform page is : https://cwf.tiged.org/gardening. You may wish to bookmark this page to help you find it easily in future.
I didn’t get a confirmation email but I think I registered correctly as I saw the course page after submitting my information
Check your inbox and both junk and spam folders in case it is there. If not, feel free to email info@takingitglobal.org to have a copy sent to you.
I get an error message
Please send an email requesting help to the address indicated in the message (broken@takingitglobal.org). To help the team understand and correct the situation, please include the URL (the link of the page you are on, found at the top of the screen) and possibly a screenshot of (or copy and paste) the error message that appears.
If none of these issues apply to you please email sarahc@cwf-fcf.org for assistance.
