The Canadian Wildlife Federation (“CWF”) expects staff at all levels to be committed to fair, effective and efficient complaint handling. Our complaint management system is intended to enable us to respond to issues raised by individuals making complaints directly to us in a timely and cost-effective way, boost public confidence in our administrative process, and provide information that can be used by us to deliver quality improvements in our programs, services, staff and complaint handling.

    CWF Grant Overhead Policy

The mission of the Canadian Wildlife Federation is to conserve and inspire the conservation of Canada’s wildlife and habitats for the use and enjoyment of all. CWF generates the funds for its granting programs through the generosity of its donors. As such, CWF issues grants with the expectation that all of the funds will be directed towards the research and conservation initiatives supported with little or no overhead costs. Any agreed upon overhead must be reasonable and justifiable and the maximum overhead is 10%.

    Indigenous Land Acknowledgement

The Canadian Wildlife Federation would like to acknowledge that the land on which our main office is located is the traditional unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishnaabeg People. The Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to be present in this territory. CWF honours all First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and their valuable past and present contributions to this land.
