The call went out for entries to CWF’s Reflections of Nature photo contest in August. And that call was answered — boy, was it answered

The call went out for entries to CWF’s Reflections of Nature photo Happy New Year, folks, and welcome to our first issue of Canadian Wildlife for 2014. As many of you know, our first issue of any new year is devoted to publishing the winning entries from CWF’s “Reflections of Nature” annual photo contest. This year is no different — but as you scan the gorgeous collection of images published here, you will notice a change. This year, we’re awarding grand prizes in each category for amateur and professional photography. The distinction is simple. If you earn income from taking pictures, you’re a professional. If you shoot simply for the love of nature photography, you fall into the amateur category.

The call went out for entries to CWF’s Reflections of Nature photo Our new judging systems makes the Reflections of Nature contest more accessible to photographers at all levels. But the results, as you can see, remain the same — spectacular images of wild Canada from all across the country.
