Lorraine has been a pioneer in encouraging Canadians to use their outdoor space as an opportunity to support the nature we both need and love. Her newest book, “A Garden for the Rusty-patched Bumblebee – Creating Habitat for Native Pollinators,” co-authored with Sheila Colla, is due in stores this June.
Lorraine Johnson is the author of many books on gardening with native plants including 100 Easy-to Grow Native Plants for Canadian Gardens, The New Ontario Naturalized Garden, Grow Wild! and the forthcoming A Garden for the Rusty-Patched Bumblebee, co-authored with Sheila Colla.
Together with her other books on gardening, our ecological impact and producing food in cities, Lorraine has been a positive and much appreciated force in helping people and communities connect to nature and to each other.
