Welcome,

Art in the Garden

You are invited to join the Canadian Wildlife Federation for an ‘Art in the Garden’ event

Event: Art in the Garden

When: May 23, 2026

Time: 1 to 3 p.m. ET

Where: CWF’s Wildlife-friendly Demonstration Garden, 350 Michael Cowpland Dr, Kanata, ON

This event is for anyone who wishes to deepen their relationship with nature through sketching or painting — no experience necessary! It will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Wildlife-friendly Demonstration Garden that surrounds Canadian Wildlife Federation’s headquarters in Kanata. There, we can enjoy this relaxing way of engaging with nature as we slow down and notice all the remarkable life that surrounds us.

Bring your own chair or blanket and pencil and paper (or whichever art supplies you prefer) and we will provide the backdrop and tips for connecting with nature through art. As part of our Gardening for Wildlife program, we will also share ideas on how you can garden in ways to discover, appreciate and support native flora and fauna in your own outside space.

Please note that this is not an art class. We will have tips to share, however, and will be available to provide some support if direction or inspiration is needed. And remember, all you need is the interest — no artistic skill required!

This is a rain or shine event. Should weather be an issue, we will have areas inside by windows and at tables with some garden elements to use instead.

Spots are limited! Get more information on this free event or if you wish to register >
