Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) has implemented the requisite policy and procedures with the intent of meeting the requirements of the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service, Ontario Regulation 429/07 created under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA). This provincial legislation aims to achieve full accessibility throughout Ontario by 2025. This legislation requires accessibility of goods, services, facilities, accommodation, employment, buildings, structures and premises and applies to private, public and voluntary sectors. The Customer Service Standard came into effect on January 1, 2008. It sets out obligations to provide goods or services in a way that is accessible to people with disabilities in Ontario.
The CWF Accessible Customer Service Policy has been developed and implemented by CWF in order to ensure the Federation conducts all aspects of its operations with respect to the AODA Customer Service Standard.
