The Canadian Wildlife Federation BELOW ZERO Winter Games Contest (the “Contest”)
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. SEE BELOW FOR FULL CONTEST DETAILS. PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF, AND AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY, THESE CONTEST RULES (THE “CONTEST RULES”).
1. CONTEST DETAILS
1.1. The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, February 28th, 202 (the ”Contest Period”)
1.2. These Contest rules are available at https://cwf-fcf.org/en/explore/below-zero/ and at the offices of the Canadian Wildlife Federation (“CWF”) located at 350 Michael Cowpland Drive, Kanata, Ontario, K2M 2W1.
1.3. This Contest is being run by CWF (the “Contest Administrators”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1. The Contest is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry, or have written permission from a parent or legal guardian to enter the Contest. Employees, directors and officers, as well as those of any affiliated companies or agents, advertising or promotion agencies, of the Contest Administrators are NOT eligible to enter the Contest.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To participate in the Contest you must:
3.1.1. Visit the CWF Contest website at https://cwf-fcf.org/en/explore/below-zero/;
3.1.2. Register your information, which may include your name, address and email address;
3.1.3. Read the Contest Rules and Regulations, indicating acceptance of the terms and conditions if satisfied; and
3.1.4. Answer the questions listed for “The Contest” and submit your answers to be instantly eligible.
3.2. You will receive one (1) entry in the Contest when you complete the steps outlined above in section 3.1. LIMIT OF ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON DURING THE CONTEST PERIOD.
WINNER SELECTION
3.3. Winner Selection. On Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at the offices of CWF, one (1) eligible entry will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period and declared the prize winner.
3.4. Winner Contact. The prize winner will be contacted by a representative from CWF within four (4) business days by phone and/or email. Where the prize winner is found to be ineligible, declines to accept the prize or is unable to be contacted for whatever reason (including failing to return phone calls and/or emails) within four (4) business days, they shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize and another eligible entry may be selected at the sole discretion of the Contest Administrators.
3.5. Odds. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
3.6. Age of Majority. If a prize winner(s) is under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, the parent or legal guardian of the prize winner(s) must accept the prize on their behalf.
4. PRIZE(S)
4.1. Grand Prize. There will be one (1) grand prize available to be won, consisting of:

4.2. Prize Acceptance. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not exchangeable, refundable, transferable, or convertible to cash. No substitutions except at the Contest Administrators option and sole discretion. Contest Administrators reserve the right to substitute a prize or a prize component with one of equal or greater value, in its sole discretion, for any reason. In the event a prize winner is unable to claim a prize or a prize component as awarded, the prize winner’s rights to that prize or prize component may be forfeited, which shall be determined in the Contest Administrators sole discretion.
4.3. Contest Consent, Release and Indemnity Form. Before being awarded a prize, a prize winner(s) must complete and return a Contest Consent, Release and Indemnity Form (the “Form”). The Form will be sent directly to the prize winner(s), at their mailing or email address provided at the time of entry, and must be signed and returned within seven (7) business days. Failure to return a completed Form before the deadline will result in disqualification from the Contest. Prize Winner(s) are responsible for obtaining and returning completed copies of the Form.
4.4. Claiming Prize. Upon return of the completed Form, prize winner(s) will be given detailed instructions on how to claim the prize within a reasonable timeframe. Any prize winner(s) who fail to claim the prize within the reasonable timeframe may be required to forfeit the prize, and an alternate eligible entry may be selected at the sole discretion of the Contest Administrators.
5. GENERAL
5.1. Compliance with Rules and Law. By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Contest Rules, which may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of the Contest Administrators and without notice. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial and municipal laws of Canada. Void where prohibited by law.
5.2. Termination or Modification. The Contest Administrators reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, terminate, withdraw, amend or extend this Contest in any way, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Administrator that corrupts, impairs or interferes with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest as contemplated by these Contest Rules.
5.3. Tampering. The Contest Administrators reserve the right to disqualify, from this Contest and/or any future contests, any individual who tampers with or in any way corrupts the entry process. The Contest Administrators may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Contest, future contests and/or winning a prize if, in the sole discretion of the Contest Administrators, it is determined that the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any unlawful or unfair playing practices relating to the Contest, or has engaged in conduct intending to abuse, threaten or harass other entrants or representatives of the Contest Administrators.
5.4. No Representation or Warranties. The Contest Administrators make no representation or offer any warranty, express or implied, as to the quality or fitness for use of any prize awarded in connection with the Contest.
5.5. Ownership of Entries. All entries shall become the property of the Contest Administrators upon receipt. Entries that are lost, stolen, illegible, contain false information, are damaged, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, altered or otherwise irregular or that do not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of these Contest Rules will be judged void.
5.6. Limitation of Liability. The Contest Administrators, including its advertising and promotion agencies, will not be liable for any failure of the website during the Contest Period; for any technical malfunction or other problems related to the telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any entry to be received by the Contest Administrators, it advertising and promotion agencies for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems, or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, the Contest Administrators, including its advertising and promotion agencies, will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any material in the Contest.
5.7. Force Majeure. The Contest Administrators shall not be responsible for any delay or failure to supply a prize or any part thereof due to any event or condition that is not reasonably within its control. Without limiting the foregoing, the following shall constitute events or conditions of Force Majeure: acts of God, governmental action, terrorism, riots, disturbances, war, strikes, lockouts, slowdowns, prolonged shortage of supplies, epidemics, fire, flood, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, lightning and explosion or any other cause beyond the Contest Administrators reasonable control.
5.8. Quebec Residents. This section applies to Quebec residents only. Pursuant to the Rules respecting publicity contests (L-6, r. 6), any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the board only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
5.9. Privacy. By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consent to the Contest Administrator, its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with their entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Contest Administrator’s Privacy Policy (available at: https://cwf-fcf.org/en/about-cwf/policies/privacy-policy.html) unless the entrant otherwise agrees to receive further communications for the Contest Administrators.
