“What can I say, I’m a bit of a homebody. I don’t like to wander too far from home. Although like plenty of snowbirds I head to Florida when the weather gets chilly.”

“Some people think I’m a wild card. True, I don’t follow the rules. While most leatherbacks head south, I’ve been known to head east – all the way to the waters off Europe. Where I’ll be off to this year? You’ll have to watch me to find out.”

“They thought I was a goner when my satellite tag stopped working last year – just before I was supposed to nest. Ha! You can call me Houdini, thank you very much. Will I vanish from the race this year? I haven’t decided yet.”

“I was teased my whole life for how small I am, but now who’s laughing? I’ve got less weight to lug around as I make a beeline straight to the finish line!”
