Managing Rights-of-Way for Pollinators

A Practical Guide for Managers

Goals of the CWF Monarch (and other Pollinators) Habitat Restoration program include:

  • Building partnerships for conservation action for Monarchs and other pollinators
  • Increasing the scale of habitat restoration along ROW corridors
  • Building a network of ROW managers (roadways, hydro transmission lines, solar farms, railway lines) for pollinator meadow habitat restoration
  • Providing a forum for technical training in habitat restoration: by ROW managers, for ROW managers (webinars and workshops)
  • Working with Hydro One, Lanark County and the National Capital Commission to conduct a pilot project on restoration techniques for ROW in eastern Ontario
