WILD Family Nature Club

Let’s get outdoor time back on the family calendar!

On average, children are spending less than 30 minutes playing outside each day, and more than seven hours in front of a screen.

Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation’s WILD Family Nature Club and explore new ways to get outside with your family! Whether you are seasoned adventurers, or simply looking for activities to do with your kids in the backyard, we can help you find the inspiration you need to spend more time outside together.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Explore Outdoor Activities

There are a lot of ways to connect with nature and make the outdoor recreation and play part of your family’s lives.

Explore some of our favourite outdoor activities using the filters below.

2. Find a Place to Go

Nature is all around us. It abounds in rural and wilderness settings, but it’s even available where we may least expect to find it – from backyards and city neighbourhoods to suburban parks and walking trails.

Search for a local greenspace in your area!

3. Connect With Others

Share your family’s outdoor adventures with others!

Invite friends and family to join you on your next nature outing or start your very own WILD Family Nature Club group to engage others in your community!

You don’t have to be an expert naturalist to start your own independent WILD Family Nature Club. We’ve created a toolkit to help you plan and share your own outdoor experiences with friends and families, including planning guides, tips and checklists.

You can also share your family adventures with us on your favourite social channel using #WILDFamilyCWF. Make sure you tag us @cwf_fcf so we can share it, too!
