Legacy Gifts to the Canadian Wildlife Federation in Your Will
A gift in your Will enables you to make a future gift that you may not be able to give in your lifetime – a gift that will make a difference for years to come.
A gift in your Will can be a specific amount of money or a specific asset. It can also be a percentage of the residue of your estate – the remainder to be distributed after other gifts are fulfilled.

Three Simple Steps to Leaving a Legacy
Leaving a Legacy Gift in your Will to the Canadian Wildlife Federation is easy. When properly prepared, a Will can ensure your loved ones are cared for, the size of your estate is protected, and that any Legacy Gift you wish to leave will be realized. The following three steps will help you achieve these ends.
Step 1
When updating your estate plans, first decide that leaving a gift in your Will is the right thing for you to do. You may choose to leave a specific gift amount, a percentage, or the residue of your estate. Work with your professional advisors to determine what type of gift is best for you and your family.
Step 2
Contact your lawyer to prepare a Will or a Codicil to your existing Will that will create a future gift for the Canadian Wildlife Federation.
Step 3
Consider letting CWF know that you have created a Legacy Gift. This will enable CWF to better understand your wishes regarding your planned gift and allow us the opportunity to say a personal ‘thank you.’ Please be assured that all information you share will be held in strict confidence.
